I am thinking about it. For now, I will put them on as is.
I have time, as my car is gonna get repainted after I finish the body mods.
I will have to play around in photoshop to see how it looks painted vs unpainted

Do the stock door handle seals match up to these handles?

I will check, do you mean are the seals the same as for the stock handles?

I didn't notice that there is seals that came with these handles... just looked at the pictures again. I'm anxious to hear if you can get them installed.

Please report back asap if they work or not...

One thing I worry about is that if you bugger up the original handles latch mechanism trying to get it off or put on this handle.. you may end up needing to buy another porsche handle to get the latch off of anyway, costing you more overall

And I'm home.

They dont fit!!!

I have pics showing the differences, but there was no way for me to see that the VW handles are LARGER somehow than the Porsche handles.
I am not dropping this though, there has to be a way since VW use our handles.
The ones that I got I think are for a late model, so I gotta look earlier. Pics tomorrow

early and late handles should be the same mounting wise... can you trim a little off the door holes to get them to work..?

I hope that people who have done the VW pull handle route have success. The very design of the handle looks like it might strain the 944 sheet metal over time at the rear end. The 944 handle has two mounting points to distribute the load when pulling the door open. All I have to compare that with is how the 944 metal will deform under the side mirrors when people lean on them. Does the VW have a beefed up metal plate behind the rear latch opening?

Is there a difference between the chinese and US VW handles? Those look like the same handles off MKIII US veedubs.

The Chinese handles the OP bought are for a 85-92 Jetta/Golf. Standard US 85-92 Jetta and Golf handles are the same as a 944.
