The same safty and tech that is required for autox events.

I am going to get tentitave dates from the track this coming week and I will toss some out in this post then. Its good to see the interest in this again. We had so much fun last year even though we did it in the middle of a hurricane.

Well guys.. Saturdays at the Gville Raceway road track have become quite popular. The closest date we can get is in May. How does May sound?

May sounds better. It'll work for me, it'd give me time to get ready for Rennstock and have enough time before the Fest

oh...mmm. Fl is so far from NC. But so close. I've driven down there towing a boat, twice. I mean, I can make it with a car, right?

I have time available.. free flights... free rental cars.. nail down a date but I'd be pulling a "Rennbay 944Fest" type of trip.

Then I can empty Travis's liquor cabinet.

May has a few things going for it, mainly the fact that the Florida racing calendar has calmed down by then and it's usually pretty dry then so little chance of being rained out. The only thing is that it will be getting pretty warm by then, you should try to make it as early in the month as possible.

I'm in either way, just keep us posted as far as the dates are concerned.

I'll join the caravan from Tampa, or the Tampa Rennlisters could meet here (Odessa) on the way up.

Another thing I just realized..... the TPS (golf), will be in the 2nd week of MAY. It may not be important to some but, to others maybe.

lol. It's called The Players Championship or the TPC in these parts. It goes May 7-13th. If this thing happens that week, I'm out for certain. ...but I don't know many 944 guys that I see there. It will exclude a large number of other P-car owners.

This event is for you guys so the 7-13 of May is out? Let me check on the following weekends Tomorrow. So we are going to shoot for May 19th or 26th? Any other conflicts you guys can see?

Also, after last years Rennstock, I would rather wear sun screen than be wet and cold... though drifting the sweepers in the turbo was fun.
