Default 944 vs. Alfa GTV6

May have been covered.... I have owned both (2 GTVs 84 and 85). Similar in a many ways. Build quality better in P-car. Alfa 6 cyl but same displacement (170 stock hp) transaxle, weight dist. performance, dimensions. Any people have direct experience on the track with these two? Thoughts? Thanks.

Not the GTV-6 but the 2L GTV spring veloce. The 944 wins with easy.

check out these old ones that I saw in Marin (Sausalito) on 1 Jan. They were all "out for a drive".

I owned a European (France) delivery of a 1969 GTV 1750 for quite some time. IMHO, the GTV (not the GTV6) is one of the most beautiful cars ever pen'd. But the 944 is a far step above both the GTV and the GTV6 for performance and day-to-day useability. I say that with all respect to Guigiaro who designed the GTV-6.
