I think the Benz driver didn't even realize you were there.
If you like street racing, the 944 isn't the best car for the job. Even the 951 (the 944 turbo) isn't the best car for the job as it is hard to get a good launch. These cars are really all about keeping the speed in the corners once you get up to speed. At the track.
You oughtta consider a 924 twin turbo automatic. There was a Rennlister on here a couple years back that had some great success street racing with his.

You are full of ****, thus you have a brown car. 0-60 times for a 1985 NA are in the 8+ second range. A 2000 Mustang is in the 6 second range. He wasn't racing you. Oh, and a Honda Vtec would smoke you too.

The problem with street racing is that even if you think you can drive safely (and you probably can't if you're street racing), the moron that you're racing probably doesn't not know when to let off.
