Lol, nah it is pretty easy. Going to try and break my 5 hour record next weekend on an 86 951. I cheat with a lift and air tools though

Had both with my last turbo clutch and have done over 10 of them and probably 30x with n/a clutches. Still a pain in the ***. It takes me a couple days to get over finger/muscle soreness removing damn exhaust components where no air tools can reach.

I would be surprised if someone bought that car, turned their own wrenches, and ended up spending more than $4500. The car seems clean, and you can get a good sport clutch kit from Paragon for under $800... if it were closer, and for sale about a month from now, I'd probably buy it.

how does that go again?
I dont think the oil pan would leak since it has what 168k on the clock, so pan gasket would have already leaked and been fixed by now I would think.
who knows.

Clutch jobs suck - no two ways about it.
The P.O. of my '85 944 lost love for it when he took on a clutch job that took almost a year. He'd go down, start working on the car, get irritated after an hour or two, come back inside, the car would sit for 2-3 more weeks, he'd repeat the process, etc. Finally after many months he had it done but absolutely hated the car and sold it to me for a song because he just didn't want to ever have to deal with it again.
This was an n/a too. 951s are worse in all respects.

There's that point in the clutch job where you "change". Meaning, after working for 3 hours, you're thrilled that you're half-way done with the speed and reference sensors. Then, when the feeling is back in your hands a couple days later, you can (hopefully) finish with the sensors.
Then there's the start-up fear of not fully seating the rear c'shaft seal as the car fires up.
