Turbo cooler in an na

So Joe,
You replaced the entired cooler NA to turbo. I see why I misunderstood. I thought that it was in addition to the NA via the sandwich.
All I have is the cooler part, not the housing so Mike you have the housing and the hoses? I may be interested in them. I will send you an e-mail off-line.
By the way, is there any compatibility issues between years? I recall something about a pressure relief valve. I have a 1987 NA 944.

So it looks like going with a 951 stock oil cooler housing - but you can plumb your own lines and an aftermarket cooler and even an external oil filter housing.
If you go with the complete aftermarket kit it keeps the oil bath cooler and only adds an external one. Those I guess work best on cars without a built in oil cooler (I've got one on my track car - a Honda and it works great).

Diagnosed over the weekend that my '87 944S internal oil cooler has a leak. Instead of replacing the old cooler, I'd like to upgrade to the stock turbo or S2 set-up. Anyone know of a good source to obtain the all the parts to do this swap?

Doesn't seem like this is worth the work unless you're tracking the NA.
