Default Oil pressure sending unit rattles. Is this normal?

I just removed my Oil Pressure Sending Unit while replacing the oil cooler seals and gasket. After I removed the OPSU, I noticed that it rattles. Something insided the unit is loose.

Is this normal?

I just don't want to re-install it if it is bad.

Thanks.

Mine didn't. It shouldn't.
Was it the washers?
Did it work before?

No, it wasn't the washer. I thought that it was, at first. So, I took off the washer, and it still rattled.

And, yes, it did work before. I thought maybe I did something to it while removing it.
