Default Radio sucks in my Blau Seattle

I have a boosted fuba 968 style (roof mounted) antenna and cannot get radio reception (I get like 3 FM stations and no AM). It didn't work with the stock fender set-up either. Previous Blaupuncht's had really good radio reception in other cars. Connections seem good. Any suggestions? Thanks. Michael

If it's a new unit, and you're not very familiar with it, you may want to read through the manual to make sure the problem isn't in the settings. I used to have a Blau that had some interesting filters, only letting certain types of channels through--based on signal strength, that sort of thing.

Have you tried putting it into a different car with a conventional antenna? Also, check to see if there are any notes in the manual about compatibility with your current antenna. That's all I can think of, at any rate. Maybe someone else has an idea or two....

Edit: Oops, I see that you tried it with the other antenna set-up. Still, I think I'd try putting it in a different car, just to be sure.
