I was wondering what a rocker re-spray would cost? Did Dave scuff up the existing textured finish, then spray over it?

I just put a Euro front bumper on my NA and the new alpine white sure looks whiter than the original on the rest of the car. I'm going to do some compounding but I don't expect a perfect match. This car spent many years in the Florida sun so that may make it a little worse....

I paid $250 for the rocker respray. I almost had him do the whole front of the car, he would have done from the top of the front bumper on down for another $250. As far as the texture, he just scuffed it with a Scothbrite pad and cleaned it up before painting. He only had it for about 2 or 3 hours. Only downside is that the rockers now look a little more "brilliant" than the rest of the car. And the yellowed stone guards really stick out...

GP white is a brighter, more "white" than Alpine white. GP white was used on the 931 with the extra hood vent. It would be noticable if they were next to eachother.

Did he do the entire rocker area, around the bottom to the front fender and rear fender bottom (in other words, wherever the textured chip coat is)? How about a pic?

I too had an Alpine White BMW E30 back in the day. Once a year I would use One Grand Tar, Gum and Wax Remover to get rid of the old wax and other paint contaminants. It made a huge difference in the brightness of the paint and didn't require as much work as an abrasive cleaner. I would finish with 3M Imperial Hand Glaze and One Grand Blitz Wax.

I'm doing some interior touch up on the track car. Anyone know the best match for Alpine white that is readily available in a spray can?
