exactly what i was saying. unless your getting a engine build with a custom cam that would give you more overlap, a straight pipe exhuast with no back pressure will hurt more than it will help.

I put a Borla on my RX7. Sure i got more HP. The only problem was I had to keep the revs waay up to get the few HP. Felt like a turbo below 4K. the lack of backpressure killed low end torque and made around town driving much more of a chore.

Would you like chopsticks to go with your rice?

the only way i would justify that muffler is if there was two of them, a gutted interor, tinted windows, and 10" rear wheels, buaaahahahah

Campeck, if you have the euro rear bumper on your car, the tip length *may* be OK. You'll want to do a test mount to check of course.

Hi!

Back pressure is bad on all engine !
It's written in any good books...

The velocity is important on NA engine, an exhaust too
big and you will lose velocity and HP.
On turbo engine the bigger the better because you don't
need any velocity.

I invented nothing, this is not my opinion it's a FACT.

Campeck, nice muffler, take pics once it's installed and a video with sound would be great !

whether or not you go big depends on where you spend your time in the power band

if you're never below 3500, i would go with a straight pipe all the way

its a compromise, and like someone else pointed out Camshaft selection is KEY

A fact is a fact then. I guess my butt dyno was wrong. I guess the engineers are wrong too. phew, glad i learned that today. I think i am going to get rid of my complete exhaust system tonight.

i was actually thinking a cam grind and remake with more overlap would defiantley yeild more power due to the complete lack of it on the US engines. or is it all? doesnt matter.

it looks awesome..its LOUD it has a ricey undertone( i can deal with it) and it does seem to have killed some power. wich is why i was thinking of getting a cam with some serious overlap and a maxtronic. muahahah!!!

ill have pics and a vid in 2 min. stay tuned!
