Default Sudden Power Loss under Load (boost?)

On a spirited run yesterday, my car started to generate a symptom of sudden power lost on acceleration. While accelerating under load, the engine would just die as if it shut down for a second. When I let up on the gas and accelerate slowly, power would come back. It would happen around 3k-4k range (the last few times that I noticed) and in most cases I was in 2nd or 3rd gear.

Any thoughts?

My car did the same thing before the DME Relay died. Replace the relay.

I will try putting a jumper on the DME relay and see if that solves the problem.

Might be the TPS. Check that guy out too. First check for clicking when opening the throttle, if that checks out, look at clarks-garage.com for the full on testing procedure. Good luck!

I can check it again. I had it out just a few weeks ago when I was trying to diagnose a rough idle. Also, opened up and cleaned the AFM too.
