Yeah - we can all switch out an engine but fixing fire damage is a lot harder

lol - true.
I think it is due to the fuel pump running all of the time - maybe giving the line too much pressure - as it is leaking right by the fuel pump, and seems to leak only when idling, but its a pretty good drip.
I drove it to work today
I'm going to hate the GTI again, I know it already lol... this thing is fun.
I won't drive it any more this week and we can throw it on the rack and poke around next weekend I guess.

I think that we should try your original fuse panel in it and see what that does. Looks like Sunday is going to work for me. How does that look for you Albert?

Ok - although I think the original panel is missing some spots for a couple relays.
I'll double check when I get home though.

What I need to do is pull the panel up and find the wire that is supposed to go to the bottom of the fuse panel for the pump, then trace that back to the DME and make sure there are no issues with that wire or a connector or something missing.
I'll try to check that out tonight.
