Default Oil Pressure Gauge ?

Ok. My car runs now and runs good. One thing now is my oil pressure gauge stay maxed out. It makes a weird ticking noise. Worked fine before the electrical fire. Is our gage mechanical ot electrical?

If the gauge stays pegged, its possible you reversed the wires on the sender.

Well I haven't messed with any wires. But a bunch of the wires between the headlight motor and switch are melted. Could that have caused a short ot something? Like I said it's making a whirring ticking noise.

Early or later car. Id imagine early.

Its electric, the wires might be melted together and the ticking sound might be it pegging out.
