Anyone have a Foha or factory front spoiler lip on there 944?
Ive been looking around for one of these for over a year now and finally managed to pick one up on eBay tonight. Its a front spoiler / spillter (Whatever you want to call it) for the n/a 944 front valance. Ive seen ONE car on eBay that had it about a year ago and have yet to ever see pictures of it on a car let alone one in person.
From what i read, its made out of the same material that the rear spoiler is made out of. Porsche offered it as optional 'techiquipment' back in the 80's and apparently Foha made them also. I had trouble finding info about Foha, but they made alot of parts for the 80's BMWs, VWs and apparently a few body kits for MX-6 Mazda's. They also made a cool wrap around spoiler for the spoiler-less 924's. The Foha and 'Techiquipment' ones look exactly alike, i would guess they are just branded differently.
Was just curious if anyone had one of these on there cars or has had one and can comment on how its installed. The tech-quipment catalog says it dosent require any drilling. The seller told me the Foha one has 9 studs sticking up through the top along with a few brackets. Ill know for sure when i see it. Ill probably have to buy a new front valance... though mine is fairly straight, its far from perfect.

I have the 931 type for the 924S rears. I know a guy that has the front one on his 924S.. I never saw those for the 944 before Jon- very cool!

Chris, ive seen the 924S one before on a few cars. Performance Products used to sell it maybe two years ago but they have since removed it from the catalog. If anyone has one of there catalogs from probably 5-6 years ago still i would bet this would be in it also.
It will probably be hardly noticable when its on the car.. but i figure it will be that last finishing touch with the 951 side skirts i have also. It should lower the front another inch or so.

I just got these picture from a Canadian PCA member who sold his car a number of years ago. I found a advertisement for the car for sale by the next ower and was passed on his information. He was very friendly and gave me alot of the info regarding the mounting..exactly what i was looking for. Included a few pictures of it also on his Saphire Blue car..

let see those pictures of it on the saphire blue one as well! So its not made anymore? will you be painting yours to match the color of you car? or will you leave it that blackish color like many of the other photos?

Defenetley going to leave it black. I have a black / red thing going on with my car. I also have the inside portion of the front valance painted black and it adds a nice 'depth' to the front of the car. Hard to explain really, but i think this will compliment it nicely.

Got the FOHA lip in the mail today. Thank gosh he sent it DHL... if it was UPS it would probably still be on the other end of the country.
This thing is pretty cool though.. still in its original factory packaging. I felt like i was opening a piece of Porsche 944 history..

It feels like its made out of the same material that the bumper pads are made out of. A pretty heavy duty rubber.
Going to try and mount it either tomorrow or sunday.

That's amazing, I've never seen one or even knew they were made. I've got a Euro rear valence I never even installed but I've sold the 83 so it's sort of useless now. Just what I need, more parts to take up space. Anyway, cool find and I agree keep it black.
