Default Anyone know where to get a new lighted Porsche license plate frame?

Since I have the center tail light, my car came with a lighted license plate frame. Well now its broken and hanging on its side and I'm pretty sure that the plate has to be lighted here in CA. Anyone know where I can get one??

The guy that sells the center light kits on ebay will sell the frames for $15ea although it's not the porsche frame. I've decided to buy these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-...spagenameZWDVW amd install them on my porsche polished frame that was on the front.

Was it just a generic license plate lighting kit? Those look like LEDs - nice.

I'm 50/50 on the center light panel. Our 944 had one and I took it off, but I've been thinking of putting it back on. The thing that killed it for me was the stupid license plate light problem. The license plate frame that came with our center light panel kit was some stupid brittle plastic and it kept cracking. With a frame like yours I would be much happier with the setup. Thanks for sharing!

The license plate frame I used was a polished porsche one that I received as a gift and I felt bad not using it. I was unsure at first because I didn't like the idea of having a chrome frame on a car with so much black trim. After I installed it I realized it compliments the exhaust. The lights I used are bolts with small LEDs inside of them. I used two different types (because I broke the first ones) and ended up with the ones the ebay seller below makes.

this is great
I currently have Euro plates on both of my 944's with the CA plate lower on the bumper.

I used lighted windshield washer sprayers on one side of the plate only.
It doesn't really light up enough, although it probably (hopefully) satisfies the legal requirements.

Those lighted bolts look better, although a bit pricey.

Well I had the third eye center panel and it was a toss up if I should remove it for about a month. Once I removed it, put the license plate back where it belonged w/ a nice frame, and plugged the ugly holes they leave in you car and bumper. I was convinced that was the the way the car was designed and I was good with that.
