They are just for heat protection. The slip over, but fit perfectly. Also, if a leak did happen to develop in a fuel line, they would duct the fuel into the fender, instead of over the header.

If you're not in a hurry to sell, wait until you can put it back together, get it running and sell it then. It will bring a bundle and you'll be glad you sold it in running condition for more money.

As the old adage goes, "it takes money to make money."

Don't take this the wrong way. I just hate watching you sell your pride and joy with all those goodies for only 9K. Good luck, whatever you do!
