i think you're thinking of Campeck's famous 944 CAI intake system.

Campeck's exits out the same hole as the stock airbox, with a cone filter in the fender well.

There are others who have run it to inside of the front header panel... wish i could remember, but too much other crap spinning though my head at the moment... stupid work.

I am doing the same thing as jgporsche - except I will have a stainless tig-welded airbox under the nosepanel. I am going to NAPA with dimensions to source an off-the-shelf filter. As soon as I get it perfected, it will be available for sale........

My MAF system will enter through the other side. I couldn't go through the side I wanted to begin with because of the angle coming off of the AFM. But since their won't be an AFM stopping me, I will get what I wanted in the first place. Expect a write up tomorrow of my full system. according to my tracking numbers, the last coupl eof pieces will arrive tomorrow.

No before and after dyno charts on the air intake mod. On the "butt dyno" I ddn't feel anything either. The exhaust sound changed a bit, though.

The difference between the stock AFM and a MAF is HUGE!!!

Here is a pic of the AFM....

Here is a pic of a "hot-wire" MAF...

You tell me which one can flow better.
