I got a 86 951 and when i got it i had noticed that one of the bolts in the exhaust manifold were broke off and i still have to get it extracted out, so i knew abou that problem but was told that i can let it go by for awile and fix it when i had the money, next i heard my a slight knock. one of my mechanics told me it sounded like a rod, and not to drive it, well one day i decided to get into my car and take it not even a mile up the road, i checked the oil, it was all good and i took off, well upon approaching my house my car just died on me. i never reved it high or anything, it just died, now it doesnt even sound like it wants to turn over, i had to leave my 951 in colorado and i now live in florida. and i need to figure out what may be wrong, all i have owned before are hondas so i dont know where to start! help, oh and after it shut off i did chec the oil and it was fine

 

when was the cam belt last changed, do you have the service records?

you know i couldnt tell you when the cam belt was last changed. i really dont have any service history on the car. i bought it from a small dealership and the guy who i bought it from got it from an auction. he had a chance to meet the previous owner and said he was an old guy who indeed took care of it, but as for service records. i have no idea, if anyone can tell me what maintance these cars need right off the bat when you get them, would really be helpful to me. so i can start djoing some preventive maintance. thanks
