A sunroof delete is a pretty rare option and does increase the desireability factor. $6-7k was just my shot in the dark. A car is worth what anyone is willing to pay for it. To the right buyer your car is highly desireable. To others it's just another 944 that they will want to do a trany swap before really driving it. There was an individual who posted a while back that couldn't drive a manual due to disability. To someone with those concerns you car would be a fantastic find!

A curb scrap could probably be pretty easily fixed. I still think a concours minded person would be really interested.

why would you buy an automatic NA for more then 7K if you can just get a nice turbo with some milleage on it? Its just not desireable, even with 6K miles on it. Cool thing to have, great museum candidate.

Being that it has no sunroof and factory phone dials (rare for an early 944) also raises the value a bit.

Yes, but anybody looking for an auto, probably wants a sunroof and has no care in the world about the weight reduction of the sunroof delete.

I think you answered your own question here. Anyone who thinks it would be cool to have, or sees it as a museum candidate would buy it.

I didn't think Phonedials were an option in 84. Did your relative swap wheels at some point? I think for that year they came stock with cookie cutters, and Fuchs were an option.

I'm not sure about the phone dials, they could have been changed. Thats why I am asking you guys? I guess anything could have happened in that many years of existence,

The 84 brochure doesn't mention them but the car in the pics has them.

Cool, good to see another nice auto out there! Close by, too - welcome to our neighbors to the south!

I'm just about to sell off my primo 924S '87 auto - but I'm letting it go inexpensively as it's going to a good home, to a family member. It's a nice cruiser, soft suspension, perfect for Detroit roads! My wife will miss it (it's also a very pretty black on black car) and I rather like it too. If you can handle waiting for the right buyer, it'll be worth it.

Or turn it over to the right dealer. I have had several super low mileage cars, and I often feel strange about driving them. I do feel it has a lot to do with getting them to the right home, whether it is to be shown or driven.

Sunroofless 944's are cool - I have one.

If it were mine, I would replace every bit of rubber in the engine bay and convert it to 5-spd.

I wanted to take some pictures for you guys today,I asked my 17 year old daughter where my camera was? This was her reply, " I think it's at Lisa house, Oh wait maybe Tanya's. I'm not sure Daddy. Can I have 30 bucks? "
Any body else have one of these? Pictures will have to wait until tomorrow . sorry guys
