He told me he was on his way to your house. Something about bubbles and hide and seek.

Travis, why don't you photochop a rabit into the cockpit while you are at it. The bottle would actually be better suited up front near the engine. Duuhh. You're killing my laminar flow bro.

Thanks for the feedback. It should be here middle of next week, I'll post results.

Back on subject.

I have an 89 944S2 that came with a MSD 6AL installed already. I had no comaprison and the car ran great. After one really rainy day and hard driving through standing water at a local PCA autocross the unit fried. They are not sealed and water can get in. I bypassed the unit and reverted back to stock ignition and found the car did not run as smoothly and in fact had less low end power. It appeared to do nothing above 4k rpms though.

I eventually broke down and purchased another unit, sealed it with silicon and mounted it away from water. The nice feature of the 6AL is the rev limiter. It skips cylinders so you are not cutting out the engine completely but prevents you from doing any damage. In autocross this comes in handy, although the 6AL is more like $255.

Matt...Have a look here http://www.msdignition.com/forum/arc...x.php?f-8.html

Should give you an idea of what issues the unit may have. I personally have seen 2 fry as stated earlier but since it is electrical in nature each application can differ as to issues etc.
