Default First Gear

OK, so im pretty sure theres something seriously wrong with my porsche 944 turbo. For a while its been making this whinning noise reving up to 2500 rpm and falling from 2500 rpm, it was really annoying and i had no clue what was wrong with it. Just about 5 minutes ago everything seemed fine...i let the clutch out normally in first gear when i could feel the wheels studdering, almost like it would give power to the wheels then no power..but only two quick studders. then everything seemed back to normal again. i came to the next stop sign when something weird happened. i popped it in first gear, gave some gas, let the clutch out, and the car which normally wouldve been up to 15-20 miles an hour felt like there was no power. so to compensate i press the gas a little harder, and a little harder untill i realized there was something seriously wrong. 2nd, 3rd, and all other gears are fine. but when in first gear it feels like something is either slipping or i dont even know. Could this be a clutch problem? the clutch only has like 3 thousand miles on it, transmission problem? let me know what u think guys

if the other gears are fine then it's the tranny not the clutch, clutch would have a harder time holding the car in higher gears under power.

Sounds like mechanical damage in the trans. I would pull it out as quickly as possible before the vagrant metal in there finds its way into the rest of your gears.

I have a low mileage 86 turbo tranny, non lsd, for sale if you need it. Asking $600 plus shipping.
