Default strong fuel smell but only on start-up

I've searched under "fuel odor," "fuel smell" but most of the posts I've read deal with a prolonged smell. In my case, it's only right around start-up.

There is a small exhaust leak somewhere I found when I used seafoam, and I'd assumed it was just that, but the smell is getting progressively worse, less like exhaust and more like straight gas. This morning, I drove it about a 1/10 mile and noticed how strong it was. Then it seems to dissappear, and I don't recall smelling it on start-up when engine is warm.

Any ideas?

Could be a leaky injector, leaks cold then warms up and seats. Crank it a few times cold and then sniff your injectors...

Russell
