Default Oil cooler Info..

Hi Chaps.
Im after some info on oil coolers for a 944S2 / Turbo.

I use my car on track a lot [ NOT racing].
Im finding my oil pressure drops over time whilst on track. I believe this is because the oil viscositiy has dropped..Once back on the road + using the "normal" revs i find the pressure returns to normal... Im currently using FULLY synthetic 10w-60 oil...

PS the engine has recently undergone a full refurb incl lightening + balancing...

I was wondering if any of you "racing types" had fitted a larger or Twin oil coolers.?? If so do you have any pics or info on how you fitted it/them .Thanks...

The KISS unit is a nice setup, and is definitely effective. An alternative, that I chose, is to replace the factory oil cooler fittings on the oil cooler block (944 Turbo, not S2) with AN 12/metric adaptors, and use braided hose to plumb in a cooler that's more appropriate for the needs of a track 944. The KISS unit is a cheaper solution, but does create further pressure drop in the oiling system.

I have the KISS and it works well for a track/street car.
