Default 87 944

okay guys, so in my hunt to help my roommate find a new car, I stumbled across a 87 944 on a local lot around here. The cars a mess its gurads red paint s faded someone decided to silcone the sunroof shut(Don't ask). the dash is warped and cracked(surprize, surprize) the seats are ripped. But I figure if I can pick it up for cheap it would make a good track car candidate. They sales guy said its been sitting there for a long time. I just want to know if I should presue this car or just look for another car to transform(I don't want to buy a race car I want to build one myself) I think i should offer the guy 750-1000 bux for it. The dealer wants 2600 for it(Yeah right) so does my offer sound resonable. for the work I would need to get it running(T-belt,WP etc)?

I'm just down the road, north of Nashville off of I-65. I picked up a 86 wtih a 88 58K mile engine in it today. It is pretty much trashed inside, but I plan on putting it back together in a few weeks. Let me know if you are interested.

thats one clean 87. One reason Im looking at the local 87 car is that I don't care if I hack it up to turn it into a race car because the interior is trashed pretty bad. Your 944 is to nice to hack up. If I was looking for another driver(but thats what my current S2 is for) then that would be at the top of the list. good luck with the sale.
