Yeah, basically you wrap the strap contraption around the sunroof, tighten up the straps, and place the ends in the two places on the back of the rear seat and in where the sunshade cover goes into where the hatch closes. It is supposed to hang there in mid air. It's a hell of a lot easier to slip it into the sunroof bag, or just lay it in the back and you're done!
