Default FS: New Sparco Sidemounts

Just trying to raise some funding for my honda tranny build.

These are black Sparco Sidemount, brand new. They were used for measurements, but never mounted.

Taking offers.

out of curiousity, those will mount a seat lower than bottom mounts right? will they work with sparco sliders? thanks

yes they will, and sturdier and safer, and lighter. Thats why I originally bought em.

To use sliders, you would have to mount em to the bottom of these, and mount the sliders to the bottom mounts. I don't think you will be able to get it much lower with the adjustment available on these, but it will be a sturdier way to mount.

Also fitments depends on your seats etc.

FYI... I have been dealing with this issue all week. Depending on the seat you mount these to, they may or may not fit.

I have sparco steel side mounts with sparco sliders... one seat is an Sparco Evo, one is a Sparco Rev. When mounted to the seats the approximate width between the slider rails is 14"... too bad the holes in the floor of the 44 are 16" apart.

So the short of it is... if you want to use all sparco stuff with a narrow seat, you will need to formulate an adapter plate to make up the couple inch difference between the stock holes and the sparco mounts... search here on the list, and you'll find photos of spacer plates made by various folk. Some mount horizontally, like tifo, others use a longitudinal plate on one side of the seat to make up the couple extra inches.... good luck, I'll be doing the same this weekend.

you got bottom mounts for sale too?

schwank,
have you tried turning the mounts inside out? that should get you some room.

i ordered the steel thinking i could bend it easier than aluminum to reshape it. but bending each an inch is a lot. what are you mounting your sub belt to?

i am torn between getting the koenig/cobra bottom mount seats to work and just blowing 1400 on a set of recaros that recline. right now i am so pissed that i feel like ordering the recaros for my birthday.

nah, but if you get bottom mounts, order them from corbeau. They all use the same compnay bottom mounts, but corbeau sells em for much less.

you sure the size is the same? the guy at koenig told me i could use a recaro sparco or momo but not corbeau. however drilling four stinkin holes in the mount cant be that hard.

maybe i should hijack your post with a "will trade" new sparco side mounts for corbeau bottom mounts.

anyone want a pair of nice black seats with holes in the headrest for a harness? PCA outlawed four point harnesses last month!

Also got the mirror. it is in the car. left positive feedback.

didn't realize that was you with the mirror. Glad it worked out for you! I forgot to leave feedback, but I just did it now.
