Northern Vermont Lake, Ride,& Tech events 06-07'

I would like to put together 2 Lake Champlain events a year where we all go out for a ride, its open for all porsche rennlisters, not just 928's. I live about 50 minutes from Burlington on the island of Isle La Motte,VT. I am thinking of a late Spring event in early June and one in early September. We could have a cookout, potluck get together with swimming and fishing on the lake and maybe tech session too. I have 4 indoor stalls we can pull cars into for doing a tech session.

Its time to take a great ride up to the area with lots of scenery from NH or upstate NY.

1) I was thinking of a ride down Rte 2 on the islands and head southeast to stowe mountain and waterbury (where Ben and Jerry's headquarters are). Its very scenic and a great ride.

2) I also would be up for going into NY and down the west side of lake champlain, getting on and off the highway to see the state parks and Adirondack mountains.

3) We could also do a shorter ride through the islands and to Rouses point on the Lake, then over to swanton, down to Milton, then back on Route 2 onto the islands.

4) A winter tech session would be fun, just as long as the snow isnt an issue.

I would like to get some feedback on who is around and may come to some of my meetings. Please reply in the rennlists 928 thread otherwise I may forget to return to this forum.

I could join in the drive. Although I sold my 944, I still design the Green Mountain Region PCA Mountaineer newsletter (when we have news to report), this could help to expand and enhance the news. I'm sure we could get this on the books for an official annual event and pull some of the locals out of the woods.

That will be great! People from the local PCA are invited too, I am going to PM everyone to put them on an e-mail list for an event.
