brake pad wear
I just had my 924s out on track for the first time and I had some brake pad issues. The pads that were in there were not exactly great pads. They started at about 50% material and by the end of the first day at a track not hard on brakes they were completely worn. When I removed them to put the track pads on I noticed that they were wearing unevenly. The fronts of the pads were more worn than the rear of the pads. I didnt pay it much mind at the time but when we were done for the day I pulled the new pads and they had the same problem. I am thinking that the slider pins are sticking. Any other possibilites?

Yes on both sides. THe driver side was more pronounced though. I replaced the pads at the track with brand new ones (old ones were almost down to the backing plates) and in the process had to compress the pistons back into the caliper. WHen I was changing wheels on my way out I pulled the pads again and even the new ones were wearing like this.

On the pads I took off the front of the pad was worn about 2mm more than the rear of the pad. The new pads are a lot less than that but they only have 4 20 min sessions on them so I guess Ill just keep an eye on them until I rebuild the calipers over the winter. Thanks!!

Sounds similar to when I had stock front brakes witht he single piston. I wouldn't be too concerned.
Now go to a Rennbay Wilwood 4 piston setup like I did and WOW! (gotta plug!)
