rebuilds are expensive and take a while. Koni charges $140 per strut to rebuild and Ive heard from friends that it can take months to have done. Im sure there is a shop with a shock dyno in the area, I would try talking to RPM in Newington or IMA in Merrifield since they both prep a lot of race cars.

Why do think they need to be rebuilt? If you can turn the ****, just use them. It is ultimatley cheaper to buy new inserts than rebuild.

True, I did not want to mount then find out they were bad or worn and have to put the old stuff and then pay 300 for an alignement. The rears, I will probably install to see how they work. Hope the old koni's work better then the 2 year old boge that the dealer put on as a replacement for the factory konis for the PO (the car came with m474 option but the were not externally adjustable. The ones that I bought are.
Another question is: Are the factory koni's that are externally adjustable any better performing than the ones that are not other than ease of adjustments?

Well, I mounted the Koni Sports rear shocks on the car last night. Set them at about the mediem stiffness level. Wow big difference and so much better than the almost new Boge Turbo Shocks that was on the car. The Boge Turbo 27-153F although fairly new felt like a worn shock and allowed the car to jounced a little too much. Hope these Konis will last.
Now, is it worth replacing the 86 konis (not externally adjustable) with the 87 externally adjustable one. Are the externally adjustable ones better performing shocks?
