haha....the gauge is reading correctly. I was purposely running it to empty since this is the first time I have had a full tank of gas in it since I put in the new O2 and corrected the fuel pressure......I'm getting a little over 400 miles to a tank now......not bad.....was getting 260.

Very cool. To bad you have that wierd bra thing on the front...

I passed 80k with my car when I drove it back from texas, but I missed getting a picture of the odo by 4mi or so. I need to stop driving my car so much though, I think I've put close to 4k on it in the 2.5 months I've had it.

Don't you dare apologize for that "plain looking" 951. Beautiful, deep and rare color....classic black star Fuchs...cool placement of your Andial sticker mimicking 86 Turbo Cup Series-required Recaro logo. As the Scotsman shouted at the baseball game when his American friend told him that the baseball player was not running toward first base because he had four *****..."Walk with pride, laddie."

Oh yeah, golf course is nice, too. That's a pretty big pumpkin there on the front lawn.

400 miles to a tank?! Holy opec Batman! I never got anything close to that with a 2.5L, let alone a 2.8L!

I get 400 and change with one tank on my 87 NA. I know I have a little more I can squeeze out of it once I make some improvments.

On my 2.5 if I ever put my foot in it at all I could watch the fuel gauge go down. I would expect a little better from a 87NA. But Andial has a 2.8 and bigger turbo, I'm astounded he got that.

oh is 400 and change a good number? I do believe the 951 has a larger fuel tank than an NA correct?

Seems it to me, but maybe I just couldn't keep my foot out of it, I never got anything close to that. I think more like 300 is the abolute best I ever got out of a tank.

951s have a 21.1 gallon tank according to my owners manual. I think tank size was an early/late difference.

Yeah. Mine is 17.5 and I can get ~350 miles to a tank. I can get closer to 400 when it's warmer and I do pure highway driving.

I just got 22 mpg on my last tank, having fun, with 15W-50 oil in the sump at 60/30 high-low temps. 0W-40 oil and a tire pressure check should make a little difference.

Oh wow, you guys are making feel like a slow driver.

I've been averaging around 450mi a tank around town and right around 600mi a tank highway (cruising at 85-90 too!). Hurray for fuel effeciency!

But unfortunatly that'll go away once I chip it...

Beautiful pics, Roger! Is that the Ritz at Half Moon Bay? I love the view off the cliffs there.

Great pics Roger, I never realized your car had that low of miles. Guess that explains the great paint. BTW: Did you ever get that damage to the spoiler fixed from the hubcap that rolled into you? Any locals interested in an engine swapping party this Winter? Yeah, people will be on that offer like the plague I have to get the refreshed motor in the Sapphire turbo, so I can sell the black one this Spring.
