Default Questions on "rubber-pad delete" from bumpers on early N/A 944's

Wow, I was floored on how amazing our early N/A 944's looked with the black rubber pads removed from the front and rear bumpers.

I will likely be having my car painted shortly. When these pads are removed, it is just a simple matter of filling a few screw holes, or is there a bigger hole to fill?
Any insight from those who know about this, or who have done it would be appreciated.

Thanks (as usual) for all your guidance and wisdom.

note that leadfoot also "snobbed" the front bumper in...

I believe that they are square holes that are slightly bigger than screw holes..

I think you have to remove two little tabs on each side as well.

And it's "snubbed," not "snobbed" Nelson!

So no big deal then, right? Same for the rear?

That does look nice...
How did he "snub" the bumper..?
Hammer in the bumper shocks or something?
I really like that style....

I drilled and compressed the bumper shocks on my car. Mine went in i think about an inch from whatever is stock. (i think thats how far, i cant remember). I took the bumper shocks out and drilled into them to release the oil. Its relativley easy to do, just make sure you wear eye protection as the oil will spray out when you drill through completley. Let the oil drain out then turn the shock upright. I put a piece of 2x4 on each end and hit the shock with a hammer to compress it as far as possible. It looks good, the rat nose look is gone. However you need to remember you lose your 5mph buffer.

Either weld the holes shut, or use JB weld.

I did it! Bondo works fine if u do it right.....clump a lot over and sand to make it even, in regard to the shocks i drilled in and relased the oil the same way but a big issue im dealing with is the end of the bumper pads when u take them off there is a space that is left empty and looks hideous i have no idea what to do, any ideas? a bigger lens to fit the spot?
