There are two schools of thought on cutting the hard lines lower. If they ever leak, it would run in the wheel well and not in the engine bay. Since there are no barbs on the hard lines if you cut them off lower they are more likely to leak though. Both ways should be fine but the recomended installation is on the barbs.

It looks like the bracket for the FPD got a little bent when you rotated the damper. You could just bend it back straight and it will pull that fitting / line off of the manafold.

Hey, you still have that black end-cap on the end of your fuel rail!

On both my mom's 944 and my old one, the fuel lines were tie-wrapped TO the manifold. The tie-wraps looked 20 years old so that's the way the factory had it.

Put the lines on today, much easier than i expected. Im not sure why i was so scared to put these on. Anyhow i cut the fittings off with a dremel. Here are a few pictures of the process, if your anything like me you like seeing very detailed pictures of what your getting yourself into .

And this is what you get after you peel off the fitting..

And the lines hooked up..

Which brings me to my question for those who have the Rennbay lines. Did you guys have any difficulty getting the hose clamps onto the lines over the barbs? IT seems the clamps provided are a size or two to small. I only got two #12 t-bolt clamps and ended up using a regular hose clamp i had in my tool box to secure the line that screws into the dampener, there was no way the two #12 t-bolt clamps would have fit the diameter of this hose and the old size #14 clamp wouldnt fit either.

Yep, especially on the supply side. I think if you look at the photos in my build journal you'll also see that I replaced some of the clamps that came with the kit with different, slightly larger clamps.

Glad it worked out well
