Default What are these things?

1. Is located under dash way up by the fuse box.

2. Is attached to the underside of the steering column.

3. Is located to the right of the airbag controller. I'm wondering about the round thing, as well as the rectangular metal box just to the right of the round thing.

Thanks.

The round thing in pic-3 should be an altitude sensor.

Dont know about top one, havent seen it on my car but ill look.

Middle pic is the central locking control box.

Round thing is the altitude switch for the DME/KLR, not sure about the other one. Ill see if my car has this too.

So if all the wiring for the power door locks has been removed from the doors, the central locking control box should be able to be removed, correct? It's not tied in to the ignition in any way?

The small rectangular box in pic 3 to the right of the altitude switch might be part of the airbag system. The only reason I say that is because it is held on with the same funky-headed nuts that hold on the airbag controller unit. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks for the info so far guys!

The very first pic, small rectangular box, is one of the sensors for the airbag deployment. There is a matching one on the driver's side of the car.

The box in the first pic is on the driver's side. That small box in pic 3 is on the passenger side...those are probably the same things then...airbag deployment. Cool, thanks aribop!

My bad. I thought pic 3 was for the altitude sensor. I didn't even see the little airbag sucker hiding back there. But yeah...airbag sensors. Why they are not mounted closer to the front bumper or on the bumper is beyond me. I've seen plenty of front impacts where one would think the airbags should have gone off and didn't.
