Best camcorder for use in car?

My wife bought me the JVC hard drive cam on the recommendation of the Best Buy jock. She told him what she wanted it for (race car) and he recommended this one. Mine shut off as soon as I started to leave the grid. Worked great taking video from the stands, though.

well I guess the internal hard drive cam is not the type for use in the car.....kinda cool anyway since these are more expensive....
