Default Phone Dial Rim question

I am curious if Porsche made a 16x7 and 16x8 Phone Dial wheel for the early 944 turbo (951), not the late models with the high offset.

Can anyone confirm this? I am actually looking for a set so if anyone sees something, please let me know.

I have a 1988 944 that I am currently running 15x7 +23.3 Phone Dials but I want the 16" staggered set from a 951. Before anyone says anything, yes I know the proper offset for my year is 52.3 but I hate seeing all that unused gap between my tire and fenders.

Yes, 16x7 and 16x8 PD's were made in early offset, 23.3mm. They were only available on the '86 944 Turbo's. They are also one of the best looking wheels in my opinion for a stockish look 951 or 944.. they have a great deep dish appearance.

I have a set on my '84, they really look better than any other phone dial. They have my street tires on them and my 15" Fuchs have my race tires.

From the information on the weblink from Cantonia.com, it shows a 16x7 with an offset of 10.6mm and a 16x8 with an offset of 23.3mm. If this is correct, I don't think I can fit the front on my car without the tires/wheels sticking past my fenders. Maybe if I run a 205/55/16 pm the front, it might clear but I guess I won't know unless I do a test fit.

Now this is interesting.... how is this working out for you? You basically end up with a wider stance, right?

Look at the link below, it is a German site, use Google to translate it. It shows all the 16inch phone dial wheel numbers that fit a 944. There were two phone dials made for the 23 mm offset, 7J and 8J. I have two sets of these so I know it is correct.
