At a recent “German Autofest” in Ventura, CA an automotive machine shop (http://www.pro-mach.com/) located near San Diego had a stand, where they among other things showed one of the KS liners (and a 944 block). In addition to the installation, they apparently also mastered the necessary paste-honing process.

I think Chris White has shown familiarity with the liners too.
