I have the cream and black door panels in my 944 currently. I had planned on converting the interior to black on top and cream on the bottom. I have given up on that. Too much time and money for my taste. Question is, should I leave the current door panels in? Or go back to all black? I can't decide.

I do have a cream colored console I need to get painted if I put it in. I did like the contrast of the door panels. But I thought it might not look good with the red and black seats.

I'm probably the exception but I like the black/linen interiors. My black car has black interior with red accents and the interior is just so dark with tinted windows I find it boring and dated. The 86 951 I just picked up today is linen and that's the car I'm going to build and sell the black one. To me it just looks more modern and in this climate it won't get as hot in the summer.

Steve, you bought another Porsche?! Congrats!
You're selling your black turbo? Why? That car is awesome! Not the biggest fan of the red in the interior, but everything else is exactly the way i'd want it. But from your new sig, I think I really like the new color combo. My favorite 951/S2 color is that dull blueish silver, with a tan/black interior. So nice work!
With a red car, you gotta have either all black, or cashmere and black. That light cream (or linen) color just doesn't do it right. I say go all black, or paint the cream part with something darker and richer. Find a pic of a 968 interior. But that's my opinion and in general the best thing to do is usually leave things how they are (unless they're broken or about to break).

Keep the cream panels, put in the cream console, get a white dash mat with the Porsche crest, and find matching seat covers. Not that the ones you have are in bad taste, just that its a little weird with black, cream, and red.

Crunky that's kinda my opinion. I thought that the red just didn't look good with the other two. The seats under the covers are tan and in good shape. No tears or anything. The covers are Wet Okole. If I could find cream and black covers that might look cool. But I need those covers. Oklahoma summers are way to hot to sit on leather seats.

While I do like the black/cream interiors, the door panels do not look right without the bottom 1/2 of the dash.....so my vote would be all black or do the cream/black conversion all the way.

Ditto...you need the lower dash section if you are going with the linen/black look.

All black, especially with red on the seats. I have black aftermarket seats and had combo linen/black interior. I'm changing it to all black, I think it's a lot cleaner look. I must say there was someone at this years Fest with a combo linen/black interior that looked great, seats were combo as well, car was red if I remember, don't remember who's car it is.

So how much trouble would it be to do the lower dash in cream? Would I have to buy a new lower dash? Or could I paint the one that's in there now? I still have the original black door panels, so going back to all black wouldn't be that much trouble. I really like the black and cream colors. Just looks better than plain black to me.
