Default Nova guys a favor?

Guys in the DC area. could i barrow a "cheesehead" socket from someone? I'm planning on removing the transmission sunday, and i dont have this very important little tool. There are some how-to's that say an 8mm allen will work??

I am in Fredericksburg but I think I got the right size.. I will check tomorrow...

Just be aware that "cheesehead" means the head is round and sorta thick, like a round of cheese.

Whether it takes an Allen, Torx, triple square or screwdriver is another issue.

sorry, got confused... I would like to barrow a

8mm 12 point allen head socket

Thats what is used to get the axles off if I read correctly.

yes, that is the right tool, but i suggest you buy one if u plan on doing any other work on ur car, because you have to remove the tranny for a few other jobs like the clutch etc. they are cheap and shouldnt be hard to order and get to your place by mid next week.
I changed my clutch recently, and i attempted to use an allen wrench, but it stripped one of the bolt heads. luckily i had replacements and found an 8 mm 12 point.

Locally Pep Boys stocks a relatively inexpensive set. $15 or so, and you use them in a 1/2" socket. Call ahead though, when I wen tlooking for it the only one they had was opened and missing the 8mm (coincidentally what I needed)
