Default What color is my car?!

I bought my 1990 s2 from japan sevreral months ago. Before buying it i asked the previous owner what color it was, he told me "horizon blue" clearly this was not the color. so i researched it and thought the colro was"cobalt blue" howevr upon further inspetion, i just read on a site that cobalt blue was not a factory color in 1990, it was on the 1991 models. so my question is what other blue didporsche make in 1990 for the S2? my paint is metalic and looks like it has a pearl effect in it?

Dove Blue Metallic? http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/body-02.htm#90

Do you have the paint code for it anywhere (option sticker, or the paint sticker next to the fuse box)?

For 1990 you could get Baltic Blue and Glacier Blue, both metallics. That appears to be Baltic Blue, color code LM5P. Are your option code stickers present?

Glacier blue is lighter than that. I'd say it's Baltic

Do you have a paint code?

Check by your fuse panel, or like mentioned maybe your manual or the build sheet at the back under the carpet(between the taillights)

Yea, I vote Baltic.
Cobalt blue is not metallic, and kind of a bright color.

I vote Baltic too. Glacier is lighter, ala DanP (944 Fest Queen).

You are probably right. I think that I am thinking (like that?) that the two next to each other would make the cobalt a rich blue and the baltic the metallic color.

I dunno. I like em both.
