Default Voltage draw when vehicle shut off?

Hi gang. Please consider and comment upon this problem. I have a almost full draw of 12 volts when engine and ignition are off. Needless to say, unless I disconnect the battery, everything goes dead overnight. I did take a volt meter and put it in series off the ground. I then started, one by one, pulling fuses and relays to see if I could isolate the circuit. No luck. I know the worst thing in the worlds trying to track down shorts but I just wanted to make sure this may not be a systems identifiable problem.
As always, Qik

First off a 'draw' relates to current not voltage. If you are draining over night you have a bad short or a failing battery. It appears you have a multimeter. If you are draining over night and have tried pulling fuses the culprit is probably a bare wire going to ground on a non-fused circuit. I would be very careful about using the ammeter circuit if the draw is too big because it will damage the meter. I use calibrated shunts to measure dark current after frying one meter tracing a dead short. Common problems with the 944 are worn insulation on the window wiring at the bellows, worn insulation on the starter to positive battery cable, starter to alternator wire, and the glove box light not going off. Send me a PM and I'll see if I can help out.

Have you looked at Clark's? Look under garage shop repair manual and
troubleshooting. TS-09 "Battery goes dead after a short period of time."

My first guess would be stereo. I cannot count how many times I have cleaned up SHI%Y Stereo installs on sports cars!!!
