Default Heater Issue

on my 944 i recently fixed the full on a/c 24/7 problem with the simple and cheap clips to replace the broken ones, and i also had my a/c serviced. now it doesn't blow heat (not sure which is the cause) is there anything that i could have done, or that the shop could have done to cause my heat to go away? or is it just a coincidence and i need to replace the heater valve or something like that?

A heater valve would be a good place to start trouble shooting. However, I did have one on my early 944 fail stuck closed. The 928 we have failed open. For your heatervalve, check it at the back of the motor to make sure all vacuum lines are connected. A faulty one may have caused it to fail closed.

I've heard of some plastic lever that is under the driver footwell to the left of the gas pedal that is just below the dash that has a tendency to break that may cause heat to be constant or no heat at all. I've heard of these failing on an S2. I'm not sure if your car would have this lever.
