Default is the oil filter for a 931 the same as a 944?

I mistakenly ordered Part # 931-107-701-00-M67 from pelican. I got three of them. will they work for my 86 and 85.5 944's?

Are you sure you misordered? Pelican has sent me a wheel bearing and timing belt wrench that didn't work/fit right in the past. If you ordered a 944 filter on the receipt, I'd ask them for a replacement.

Here is a wonderful resource for Mahle (Knecht / Mahle) Oil filter numbers.
Mahle OC142 Oil filter reference - 944 01/85 - 07/87, M 44.02/.04/.07 >> Mahle

Mahle OC47 Oil filter reference - 924 turbo, 11/78 - 06/80, M 31.01(which is 931 107 701 00)
