Lets see if this might help.

Early heater core: 'Ready-Aire 399901' - ~$50 at Autozone and Advance Autoparts.

To find it look for:
1983 VOLKSWAGEN RABBIT GTI SPORT
Engine: L4 1.7 Liter FI
With No Air Conditioning.

Old thread but just to let you know, I made a quick english translation of my parts and cross reference list. All car makes and models are what they are called here in Finland and I think most of the europe.

Porsche 944 spareparts and cross reference

Additions and corrections here or email me jussi at alanara.fi

Thought I would resurrect this thread since winter is here and a good time to get some work done on my car in the garage. Lots of great parts cross references here.

Just picked up two myself last week. Exactly as stated in thet thread they are the same Bosch part with a few extra inches of wire between the sensor and the connector.

Default O ring kit cross reference.

Injector O ring kits from Bosch cross reference page. Bosch P/N 1287010704 :
Porsche 944 110 901 00 (quoted $10.89 each but not in stock)
Volvo 1346393 (paid $11.25 each)
VW 030 198 031
I was happy to pick up the Volvo parts and not have to wait 4 days or more for those from Porsche.

According to Auto Atlanta site they are good for...
944 1989-91
944 1985-88
944 1982-85
928 1983-86
928 1987-91
924 1986-88
911 1984-86
911 1987-89

I made a list of cross reference / alternate parts for the Porsche 944, 944 Turbo and S2. This is a list of parts for our cars without the premium Porsche price tag.

If you notice anything missing please let me know and I can add it in.

Dear Mark: I think that C-V axle is for the later cars..The early ones are from a VW Thing. You can check this out on JBugs.com under C-V axles..they give the lengths that you will need for whatever VW will fit. HTH some
