For anyone that has ever needed a part number, the Porsche PET is available on the Porsche web-site in .pdf format.
Here is the link:
http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...originalparts/
You can save the .pdf and keep it on your hard drive for quick reference.
By the way, the PET can be invaluable in assembly.

Regarding the speed and reference sensors.. why are there two part #'s if the 944 uses two of the same sensors? Can i use either sensor?
Here are the prices on Pelican..
12-14-1-708-618-M14 $94.75 325(E and ES) through 8/85
12-14-1-710-668-M85 $56.00 325(E amd ES) from 9/85

Door lock cylinder seals, 111-837-227-B is an Audi part. My local Porsche dealer originally told me they had to be ordered from Germany but then he found them in the Audi parts bin. $6.52 each for those little things.

Most people already know that the dome and trunk lights are common VW parts, 80's Golf, Jetta, etc. It's a nice upgrade to get new, clear interior lights for $10-$12 each.
The brake and clutch pads can be found at your local Auto Parts store, there is a pad that fits perfectly (Toyota I think.) Porsche pads are a bit cheaper from your friendly online parts supplier but the parts store has them handy. Also a nice upgrade for cheap.
944/968 Cabrio 3rd brake light bulbs can be had quite cheaply from the low-voltage lighting section at a home/hardware store, or you can get the bulbs at your local auto parts store (for 3x the money) by looking up the bulb from an early 90's Corvette convertible, which uses the same 3rd brakelight assembly.
I read that a VW Golf/Jetta has a compatible AC receiver/drier, not sure about that.
Keep 'em coming, this is really handy info.

I'll update it with all the information from this thread. After that I could make an english version of it.
Have to check car makes and models also, I think some of those have different names in US. Or how many strange makes / models you can find from that list?
