Question door window replacement

Some (bad person) broke into my '87 944T a couple nights ago. I got a replacement window (passenger side). Nothing much was damaged except for the window. I've taken the door panel off and checked the lift mechanism and everything seems to be working okay. But I'm not sure how exactly to put the replacement window in. I see that the metal rail on the bottom of the window has two slide slots on it. I assume that the slots are where the plastic ***** on the window lift mechanism go. But how do you get the window in place while sliding it on the *****?

Any help appreciated with the whole procedure. I can figure out most engine problems, but body issues like this throw me.

Thanks!
