Default oil cooler

guys need some suggestions on what may be wrong with my car. I just installed an new gasket for the oil cooler and new seals for the oil pressure relief valve. The problem is while starting up the car my oil pressure imediatley rose to 5. I thought that perhaps if I let it warm up it would gradualy decrease, however after 10 minutes of running at idle the gauge has not changed. I am concerned that if I continue to run it. I will cause more problems to the engine. Any suggestions on what I can do to figure out what is causing my oil pressure to sky rocket....
