Default 951 air vane?

Can someone please explane what this is "car is being sold as a track car, because the air vane has been removed" What is an air vane and if it is removed why would the car not be streetable?

The air vane he is referring to is the factory air flow meter, afm. In some states that require a vehicle inspection, an aftermarket maf, mass air flow sensor would cause the vehicle to fail the inspection. I assume he is covering his *** by saying it should be considered a track car for that matter.

I once tried to drive my car without the Air Vane, I ran into serious problems. But I logged onto Rennlist and found the solution how to make one in the DIY section (because I was too cheap to buy one).

I don't think the tutorial is in there anymore but I happen to have a copy saved.

if all it needs is the AFM, I have 2 of them for a 951 that i'd sell cheap. both work and both have the connector.
