Default AC Woes

Ok, so I went on vacation for 2 weeks, and I didn't drive the 944 for about 3 weeks. The AC was working when I left, but now... nothing.... WTH.. I am really starting to wonder if this is another thing the PO lied to me about.

When I sat down in the car and turned it on, the AC blew out tons of dust into my face... OK thats pleasant. (realize this is an extremely dusty dirty environment, the car is covered in a thick layer of fine dessert sand/dust) ok well I can chalk that up to just the environment and not driving it in a while, but I drove for 15 minutes and still not a hint of cold air from my AC. just blowing air....

The temps here are slightly higher than when I left but not enough I wouldn't think to make a difference in the cooling ability... (it was 42-43'C when I left and its 43-44'C now...)

I am figuring there is a leak in the system and my coolant has all escaped while it was not being driven... But is there anything else I can check or should be aware of before I take it into the AC shop to be checked....

OK well, I checked the fuse and oddly enough there was a 15 Amp fuse in the AC slot which my car clearly labels as a 7.5 amp requirement. So I replaced that with the correct 7.5 amp fuse, and same thing, so indeed seems like a leak... It just went to nohting to fast...

So I went to the local quick repair place, and charged up the ac system. You know once in a while you find things dirt cheap here.

Cost of AC vacuum flush system, and recharge $20. And they used the oil charge so we can hopefully track down the leak...
