Default Need new headlamps

I was looking at rennbay and they have hella vision plus and the e-code. These are direct replacement right? Which is a better?

E-codes, though not really legal in most states. My dad doesn't want me to install them for fear of "an accident with a fatality- they WILL look for the DOT stamp."

If you want 55/60, stock wiring is OK. I highly recommend Travis' Rennbay harness, though. My stock switch melted because of inadequate wiring for the stock lights.
