So far I've replaced both balance shaft seals/ race. I didn't have a big enough socket to use so I just used my fingers.
the seal looks like it is all the way it, it is about 1-2 mm past the edge of the support hosing, howevr you can see that all sides did not go in completely even, like one side is like1/2 m or 1mm more in. I tried pushing more an some edges went in a tiny bit more.
also the lower balance shaft seal has a flat sot at the edge of the seal and in some spots of the seal you can see this but other spots you can't. I used nonarobic gasket maker on the outside of the lower balances shaft seal so maybe I think it should be fine. I'm not 100% sure if this stuff was oil resistant.
I didn't use any sealant on the upper balance shaft so I'm nervouse that because it may not be pushed in all the way it may leak? or is it okay as long as it is a tiny bit past the edge of the housing.
thanks.

The front covers should get no sealant. Only the housing covers should get Loctite 574.
Lube the seals with oil or silicon and put them on. As for the front seals, use a 1/4 inch extension and tap the seals in with a hammer or mallet.

no I put sealant around the edge of the actual oil seal because one of the front supports had some pitting/ scratches I thought it might leak from the outer edge of the seal.
so will the seal leak if it isn't all the way in? like if it can go in another mm or 2 but it is still fully in will it leak?
I don't want to tap it with anything now, I"m scared of damaging it by tapping it with a hammer.

also if one side of the seal is in a few a mm or 2 more than the other side will this cause sealing problems orcause one side to wear down? when I look at the seal one side is a tiny bit lower than the other side (like 1 mm) ,on this one i used sealant on the outer edge so I can't push it in anymore.
